Inventor Help: Go Hire a Great Patent Lawyer

By Howard Schwartz Inventors should review hiring a top tier patent attorney, versus filing on their own or even worse doing nothing to protect their most important asset. A patent is the property right given by the U.S Patent and Trademark Office to an inventor. It gives the inventor an exclusive right over the invention preventing others from making, using or selling the invention stated in the patent deed. The main purpose behind issuing of patents is to enable the inventor in recovering developmental costs and help in facing the competition. The patent is a way to extend legal protection to the inventions ranging from communications to technology. However, the process to get patents is long and tiresome and it is where the need of a Patent Lawyer is felt. The process to get patent is not simple. You need to argue your case as to why your invention is worth any patent and how the invention is different from other products already in the market. Patent applications seldom get accepted in the first instance. The role of the patent lawyer is to redo the application and submit it again with new information so that it is accepted. The patent lawyer makes an inquiry about the invention or idea and then conducts a search whether a patent has already been issued for a product or service similar in characteristics. It is only after a complete and thorough inquiry that the patent lawyer advocates the case for the issuing of a patent. However, the inventor can himself search for the validity of a patent by going through the Patent and Trademark Office’s Web site at www.uspto.gov. It generally takes three years for the patent application to clear because of huge stack of applications in the Patents Office. How do I register for a patent? Filing for a patent application electronically, by using EFS, the USPTO’s electronic filing system for patent applications saves a lot of time. The various types of patent applications are: - Utility Patent Application - Design Patent Application - Plant Patent Application The patent lawyer makes the complicated and tiresome process of getting a patent simple and trouble-free. Are You Unknowingly Poisoning Your Family? Toxic Household Product Awareness

By Kelly Hoffman This is a pretty harsh question to have to ask yourself, but most parents dont realize that if they are buying bleach, air fresheners, dish detergent, laundry detergent, disinfectants, other household cleaners and some personal care products that they may be unknowingly slowly poisoning themselves and their loved ones. Safety conscious parents think their families are safe when poisonous products are put up high on shelves in closed closets or in locked cabinets. But, did you know that most of the poisonings of small children happen from common everyday household products that are within reach? According to the American Association Poison Control Centers, a child is poisoned in the United States every 30 seconds! Liquid dish soap is one of the leading causes of poisonings in children under six! (There is an estimated 2.1 million accidental poisonings per year. In 2001 and 2002, over 1 million children under six were poisoned. 69,000 children were exposed to or poisoned from common household pesticides and 26,338 were exposed to or poisoned by bleach.) Most common name brand dish detergents contain formaldehyde and ammonia. Are you using a top selling brand? If so, you are exposing yourself and your family to these two toxic chemicals on a consistent basis. Are you surprised to learn that dish soap contains formaldehyde? Unfortunately, a lot of products do, and we dont know it because there are many chemical name variations that we dont recognize. Often times, trade names are used to disguise harmful chemicals. Be aware that the inactive ingredients are often the most harmful. Another product that is very hazardous is air fresheners. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, there are four main ingredients in air fresheners and they are formaldehyde, petroleum distillates, p-dichlorobenzene, and aerosol propellants. The EPA states that air fresheners are strong irritants to eyes, skin and throat and can cause death if eaten. Do we want to be breathing such toxins? Not to mention the threats to pets and small children. Indoor air pollution is 2-5 times higher inside our homes than it is outdoors, states the EPA. Is it any wonder that asthma rates have sky rocketed? Not to mention allergies, cancer, chemical sensitivities, childhood diseases and the list goes on and on. It really is time to stop and take a look at the products we are surrounding ourselves with and the environment that we are creating inside and outside. So, right now youre thinking, Okay, Ill look into alternative cleaners. But, did you know that the personal care products you are using are just as guilty for toxic chemicals? Yes, even products like shampoos, deodorants and other products we put on our skin have toxic chemicals, and again, formaldehyde rears its ugly head in some of them! Our skin is the largest organ of our body, and it is a big sponge. If you are using products with unhealthy ingredients, your skin is absorbing toxins on a daily basis. (Think about how the pharmaceutical companies have been dispersing some drugs lately, through skin patches! Yes, our skin is very absorbent.) So, from pesticides on your food, chemicals in your water and then, chemicals from products used throughout the day and on a daily basis, you can see that it all adds up. Additionally, children have been poisoned and some have died from ingesting such products as shampoo. Most people dont even stop to think it could happen from such a product. Where do you keep the pesticides in your home? In the garage? How about in your laundry room or in your bathroom? If you are using bleach, or common brand name disinfectants, you are using pesticides. Do you swim in swimming pools? Chances are unless the pool is using some healthy alternative, you are swimming in pesticides! Yes, pool chemicals along with bleach and disinfectants are listed by the EPA as pesticides! Cide in pesticide means to kill! Most of us know that pesticides, because they are lethal, are used to kill pests such as bugs, insects and rodents. Do you still want to use toxic disinfectants to spray down surfaces you touch everyday? How about spraying high chairs and childrens toys with a pesticide? How much of these poisons are children ingesting or absorbing when they put fingers, toys or food in their mouths after the item has touched or been sprayed with toxic chemicals? Many people believe that the government protects them from exposure to harmful chemicals through laws and regulations, but this is not the case. Companies are left to their own ethics as to what they will put in their products. Does this make you feel safe? There is no law requiring manufactures to list the exact ingredients on consumer product labels. Government legislation or regulations may not be the answer, because the amount of products and chemicals currently on the market is so vast that trying to regulate it all would surely be a nightmare. However, we as consumers can change what we buy and send a strong message to companies that we wont purchase their toxic brews. Then perhaps, we can get these horrible toxic products off the shelves and safer and healthier ones in their place. Since World War II approximately 70,000 chemicals have been introduced into the market place and the environment. Isnt it time we stop bringing these chemicals into our homes, businesses, schools, daycares and our environment? So as you can see, what you don’t know can hurt you. Find out about the products in your home. Awareness is the first step. There ARE safer and healthier products available that work superbly, and many of them are higher quality and dont cost anymore than their counterparts. 5 More Nutritional Tips to Burn Fat

By Ben Greenfield This article will give you 5 more tips to turn your body into a lean muscle-building, fat-burning machine. In case you didn’t read the last 5 tips, the basic overview was to increase fiber intake, frequently drink water, eat a complex and healthy breakfast, increase calcium intake, and eat several small meals per day (as high as 8-10). Ready for more? Good! Keep reading… #6: Eat carbs early in the day Meals that contain larger amounts of carbohydrates should be eaten earlier in the day. This means that much of your whole grain and fruit consumption should occur before noon. The body’s metabolism is highest earlier in the day, so this is a great time to be supplying your muscles with energy in the form of glycogen (carbohydrates), while also ensuring that many of the carbohydrates you consume will be burned for fuel, rather than deposited as fat stores. Many families tend to have the biggest meal of the day in the evening, ironically at the time when the body is least in need of energy and the metabolism is lowest. The practical application would be to make breakfast bigger and dinner smaller. So try it out - prioritize eating carbohydrates early in the day, and focus on decreasing carbohydrate portion size as afternoon and evening approaches. #7: Eat the right kind of carbs While carbohydrates are important for providing energy and giving your body the ability to burn fat, you must choose the right carbs. Simple carbs like sugar and processed flour tend to be rapidly absorbed by the digestive system, which causes a release of the hormone that encourages fat deposit - insulin. Furthermore, the quick energy release that is followed by a rapid decrease in sugar levels will cause you to crave more food, which is why many people on a typical American diet are *always* hungry! So no matter what percentage of your diet is made up of carbohydrates, you must choose complex carbs that are slowly absorbed and digested, thus producing a long term source of energy that keeps you fuller for a longer period of time. Whole grain flours, vegetables, oats, and unprocessed grains, such as brown or wild rice are great choices, and also include many other compounds important in maintaining a high metabolism and proper digestive function. #8 Eat fat For the past several decades, mainstream Americans have been shifting to low or no fat diets, with the general result being an *increase* in obesity and chronic disease, and a decrease in health and fitness. In the meantime, world populations such as Eskimos, that consume as much as 70% of their diet from fat calories in whale blubber and fish, have one of the lowest rates of heart disease in the world. While this may seem ironic, there are some very good reasons. Typically, to replace calories that are not provided by dietary fat, carbohydrate consumption increases. Increased carb consumption leads to a faster burning energy source, which tends to contribute to cycling blood sugar levels, use of muscle tissue as fuel, low energy, and decreased metabolism and hormone production. In addition, many Americans will replace saturated fat, such as butter, with a trans fat, such as margarine. Trans fats are *much* worse for the body than saturated fat. So it is important to choose the right kinds of fat. Most animal fats, and many vegetable oils, are high in cholesterol, which contributes to heart disease. However, mono-unsaturated fats, such as those found in olive oil, nuts, fish oil, and various seed oils, can help lower cholesterol, reduce risk of heart disease, and enhance your body’s ability to burn fat as a fuel source. So try to eat fish several times a week (or supplement with fish oil), cook with olive oil, and try to eat at least a handful of a healthy nut (like almonds or walnuts) once per day. #9 Avoid sugar substitutes Artifical sweeteners, such as Aspartame, still taste sweet (that’s why they’re sugar replacements!). When the taste receptors on your tongue taste this sweet substance, your digestive systems begins to produce compounds that prepare your body to use the “food” that your brain thinks you are consuming. The hormones produced in the digestive process are still present once this fake food enters your small intestine, but no actually energy release or satiety occurs, which leaves you with a gut full of digestive hormones that need food to break down and make the brain crave even more food, this time the real stuff. This is why studies have shown that consumption of diet soda products are associated with obesity! If you’re really serious about burnign fat, ditch any sugar substitute foods or diet drinks that you currently consume. I guarantee that once you overcome the initial addiction withdrawal, you’ll feel a hundred times better. #10 Eat like a car Your body runs on fuel. If you put too much fuel into the gas tank, an overflow occurs, and in the body’s case, this means fat deposition. I realize that the idea of limiting calories is very simple, but sometimes the approach is wrong. Never give yourself a certain “number” of calories per day. You’d never take your car to the gas station and fill up if you didn’t plan on driving it, and the same goes for your body. If you have a light day of activity (“low mileage”) or a sedentary day (sitting in the garage), you should sometimes not even be consuming 50% of the calories you’d normally consume, because your body doesn’t need them. For instance, on a typical day, I consume 5000-6000 calories (based on my metabolism and amount of activity), but on a weekend of travel, where I am either sitting in a car or airplane, I often consume as little as 1000 calories per day! If your body doesn’t need the fuel, there’s not a necessity to put it in your mouth. On the other hand, there will be some days where I consume up to 8000 calories, simply because that is how many I actually burn through with my activities! So if you’re on a set diet of, say, 2000 calories per day, don’t be afraid to vary as needed. I’d like to finish by encouraging you to keep at it. Switching to a healthy diet can be unbearable at times, but the longer you stick with it, the easier it gets. It’s just like exercise - you can bring yourself to a maintenance phase where moderate to high physical activity becomes easier, but the initial work is pretty difficult. Lawsuit Cash Advances

By Jennifer Bailey The purpose of a Lawsuit Cash Advance is to help people recover the compensation owed to them for personal injury inflicted upon them either due to a road accident, discrimination at the workplace or any sort of medical or legal malpractice. There are many companies who offer Lawsuit Cash Advances to enable the plaintiffs to fight their legal battle. The Cash Advances are not loans in the traditional sense of the word, for the injured person has to pay back the amount only upon winning the case, but not otherwise. If you are facing a situation where you are looking for a non-recourse loan, you can contact these companies and provide them the details of your case. The companies will then consult a lawyer to get feedback on the merits of the case, and an idea about the anticipated settlement amount. On winning the settlement, you would then have to give a certain percentage of the settlement to the financing company. The usual rate charged by these companies varies from ten to fifteen percent of the settlement amount. Another advantage is that your attorney will have the benefit of the advanced cash. It would enable him or her to prepare your case more effectively, as shortage of funds will no longer be an issue. The attorney will get the necessary time to collect the depositions and find the necessary witnesses. This will, in turn, improve your chances of winning your case and getting a suitable compensation packet. These Cash Advances offer you the opportunity to take your case to the courts. Otherwise you might have to opt for an out-of-court settlement, which could mean that you compromise on the amount. Yet, as a word of caution, it is necessary to add that taking such loans should be your last recourse. This is because, given the risk involved, the companies can ask you to shell out a hefty fee for their services. So before accepting Cash Advances for fighting your lawsuits, you must consider other options to raise the funds. Lawsuit Funding provides detailed information about lawsuit funding, lawsuit cash advances, lawsuit funding companies, lawsuit loan services and more. How I Paid Off The Mortgage By Trading

By Colin Larcombe Well, its taken me long enough to do it but I decided that as I had made enough money trading options in 2006 I would pay it off. It wasn’t a huge mortgage by some standards but its just one less thing to think about. Very interestingly, another trader friend and my bank manager said that I should reinvest it and make more money with it, but this way I save myself a heap of interest at 5% and get some peace of mind. Additionally I want to use the rest of my trading profits I make next year to pay for my place in Barbados !! If people out there are reading this and thinking , hey trading must be easy if this guy can do it. Well yeah, it is and it isn’t. I have had quite a few losses along the way, but overall I have made more money than I have lost, which, going by some of my friends and colleagues, is better than most In a bid to become a successful trader I have tried pretty much every financial instrument in my life. Futures,Warrants,Shares,Bonds,ETFs etc. If these instruments could play music I would definitely be a one man band ! There are two main reasons why options have become the tool of choice for me. Time. Time can play an important role when making a strategic decision about a share. With options, you can literally sell time and make money from it. For example, if you think a share will go up, sure, go ahead and buy the share. But what happens if your research leads you to believe that the share will go nowhere. How can you profit from that ? This is where options come in Imagine the following scenario. Company X has had an OK year. It has told the market that the results will be OK this year and the share price fell a little and is trading at $20. It expects to do better next year though. It has a good balance sheet with very little debt and no real skeletons in its cupboard and pays a decent slightly above average dividend. There is no real reason to buy the share but no reason to sell it either and the results are due out in 3 months time. What can you do ? If the company has tradable options, you can sell (write) a 20 put option for say $2 that will expire in 3 months time. This means the broker will buy an option from you and in return give you some money. Each option is worth 100 shares so selling 1 contract would give you $200. The real bonus is that if the share price remains at $20 or goes up, you get to keep all the money. If the share price falls, then you must give back some or all of the money depending on how far it falls. Your breakeven point is $18 What I like to do is find these really good shares, wait until they or the market has a bad day and then sell the option. If you sell the option when the share price goes down, you get more money for it. Of course, I am making it sound simple for demonstration purposes but there is merit in investigating this furrther. The key to being successful with options is to understand (i.e. have a strong view) on the share, index or commodity on which you are betting. Oh yes, I mentioned two reasons didnt I. Well, if you are interested you will just have to come back next time and read the second reason !! payoffmortgagebytrading.blogspot.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Colin_Larcombe http://EzineArticles.com/?How-I-Paid-Off-The-Mortgage-By-Trading&id=437403 ambien side effects neck pain buy both ambien and phentermine no rx xpress rx ambien zolpidem 5 10mg fedex buy zolpidem tartrate

Wedding Music - The Life After the Ceremony

By Dean Shainin Even the most well planned best-organized wedding can fizzle out if the wedding music and the DJ are not good. There are thousands of good DJ’s and DJ wannabes out there. The solution is finding the right one. Choosing from among them will not guarantee you the wedding music that would add to the fun of the party. Pick a DJ that you have already heard perform. You might have heard a great DJ in a club, a restaurant, and a hotel, at other wedding parties and celebrations. Your friends are also good sources of DJ’s because chances are you have the same taste in music as they have. When choosing DJ’s, do not shop around anymore because the best DJ’s are the ones you already have heard and liked. If you haven’t heard a good one lately, your job becomes harder. Then you can start looking in the yellow pages under disc Jockeys, Music and Entertainment. It will not be wise to bank on a DJ for price consideration alone. Starting DJ’s normally charge smaller than the more experienced one. Get a short list of the DJ’s that have a good and tastefully done ad. If you can find DJ’s that have conducted in several wedding events. When talking to them, try listening to the manner of their speech, the words they use and how they phrase them. The manner in which DJ’s talk tends to spill into their performance. If the budget however is limited and you have to pick a DJ that is not as expensive, (DJ’s Services usually ranges from $100 to $2000 for a four hours work) make a shortlist of those who sound interesting. You can ask them for references and inquire about them. The more the reference the better. It would also be better if the DJ has a regular venue where they perform so you can visit unannounced. From there you can observe how the people reacts to the DJ. If you like how the DJ carries himself, how he ensures that even requests are handled well that it blends with music continuity and motivates the crowd, you could have found the right one for the occasion. Do not be impressed by the number of music, gears and equipment that many DJ’s boast. For a four-hour performance, chances are he can only play 60 cuts. If you are not very good at music equipment, you also will not know the difference. From his collection choose only about 60 to 70 music that he will play for your wedding music. Pointers in selecting wedding music. Note the venue of the ceremony. If it has to take place in a church as most weddings are held, coordinate with the minister if there are restrictions in the wedding music. There are also types of songs that are prescribed for certain part of the ceremony. A wedding ceremony consists of six basic parts. The processional or the march. Bridal march music is meant to usher in the bride and the entourage. The interludes (four) - which is meant to convey the emotion of the ceremony according to the message of the moment. The recessional - Wedding music selection for this part is usually happier songs meant to celebrate the new couple and the joining of the families. In all these you can choose the music that fits within the prescribed dignity of the ceremony. Other wedding music pieces can be played at the reception.
